It is mostly Gonderes who are against the current patriach because the former patriach is Gondere and has created a parallel synod in America to spite Abune Paulos. As for Menfese Kidusan, they act more like Menfese Erkusan.

be in mind that today’s Ethiopia is Quite different from the old Ethiopia. Please have the ability to understand things separately. Use the opportunit of this time and don’t forget to remember the braves that freed you from what you call ‘neftegna’. Plus remember them because they let you to learn about the world and compare yours. So, work for unity. To me oromya is my land and Ethiopia, too.

Say I’m Ethiopian!

Comment on Of Memories and Dreams in Hama Tuma’s”Of Spade and Ethiopians ‘ by Befekadu Bekele W/mariam

I came across this site while browsing for some other subject and became real fascinated to read the page in detail as it had some thing to talk about the book I authored titled ‘Massacre at Day Break’. If I shall be permitted I would be happy to answer Joe C’s question above that asked ‘Is Befekadu Bekele W/Mariam a pen name for Hama Tuma, which is already a pen name?’ Befekadu Bekele is not a pen name for Hama Tuma or for that matter for Eyasu Alemayhu as described above. In addition to the book I wrote under the title Massacre at Day Break I have also had my English poems published under the title Gloomy Visages. I am ready and willing to furnish any person with information penitent to the above. Thank you Befekadu Bekele W/Mariam

Isn’t it interesting Meles Zenawi whom I think the most influential African is not on the list. It’s unclear how the list is created. Influence is impossible to measure. Robert Mugabe somehow made the cut.

Thats off da hook! Liya isn’t only African pride but also she is global treasure and the same applied to Haile cause he moved da world being ‘a man of another planet’ . Yeah Ethiopia has many legends yet they are humbles n do not show off. Congrat yo all there!!

Mugabe is a popular man in parts of Africa. The western media might think of him as a tinpot dictator who plunged his country into misery. The editors explain his inclusion in their list thus: Mr Mugabe continues “to mesmerise the world as well as vex his opponents with his ability to hold on to power”.
